Olena Baca’s Art

I have lived in different states over the years, and each has its own unique beauty, which constantly inspires me to paint. Finding beauty in the most simple of things and realizing that beauty is all around us makes my soul and heart sing. I try to share my world view with others through my paintings in the hope they will make people feel the same joy and beauty that I see. While I enjoy painting with pastels, acrylic paints, gouache, oils, and mixed medias, I primarily focus on watercolor artworks. I like creating different textures and effects by experimenting with new techniques and tools. Some of my watercolor works I paint in an expressive manner with wet techniques, while others I paint in a more slow and detailed manner, layer by layer, to achieve the result I want.
