Laura Koppes

I paint with acrylics and modify with other mediums. . I work intuitively on many paintings at once- working on them in multiple directions, letting them evolve in their own way. My paintings often progress to a place or form I recognize, but the viewers are welcome to see what they imagine. I hope to provide a space for viewers to have their own emotional reaction. I think now, more than ever, we yearn to connect to one another, to feel empathy, and to feel understood.
